The CMT84DS maps 2-42 circuit panels in the same panel room or can even map 2-42 circuit panels on different floors at the same time. HOW IT WORKS

Each of the clamps connected from the transmitter around a conductive circuit induce a coded signal modulated at 166KHz and 250KHz. There is a unique code for each of the branch circuits. The receiver is able to measure the signal on a conductor when the probe is inserted to the outlet. Because of the unique frequency and code of the transmitted signal, the receiver is able to determine the strongest signal at any given outlet or lightswitch and display that reading to the user.
