Simco-Ion 4005105-01 TOP GUN Ionizing Air Gun & Controller
Simco-Ion’s Top Gun Ionizing Air Gun is a high-performance ionizing air gun designed for a wide variety of electronic manufacturing, medical and assembly applications. Balanced to 0±15V, the Top Gun features high blow-off force and low air consumption providing high-efficiency cleaning and maximum static charge decay. A filter at the exit of the gun ensures that the air is clean. The gun body is lightweight but durable. It features a light-touch trigger, making it comfortable even for extended use. All functionality is built into the gun, including a flow control valve, a balance adjustment for calibration, and a two-level LED which indicates both power and ionization. Both the gun and cable are static dissipative. A hanger is provided for easy mounting.
Features:
Lightweight, ergonomic design
Operates on compressed air or nitrogen
Flow control valve for adjustable airflow (5 to 100 PSI)
Electrically balanced ion output (0 ±15V)
Integrated, replaceable filter-nozzle
Requires shop air (10 to 100 psi)
Ionization indicator light
Benefits:
Maximum user comfort prevents operator fatigue and increases productivity
Airflow use that meets the specific application requirements
Protects ESD sensitive components and assemblies
Insures air contacting the target area is clean
Eliminates the guesswork of ionization at the target area
Air Gun
Simco-Ion’s Top Gun is an ionizing air gun that produces an intense air flow rich in both positive and negative air ions. Directing the air flow on an item that has a static electricity charge will neutralize the charge and clean the item. It is ideal for cleaning items that have developed a static charge due to handling or fabricating processes. If the item has a negative static charge, it will draw positive ions from the air flow. If the item has a positive static charge, it will drawn negative ions from the air flow. The air ions are attracted to the oppositely charged item thereby neutralizing the static charge on the item.
Power Unit
Top Gun can use clean dry compressed air, nitrogen or carbon dioxide at pressures up to 100 psi. Compressed gas is connected to a power unit that contains a solenoid to turn gas flow on and off. High quality polyurethane tubing conducts the gas to the gun. At the gun, flow is controlled from a whisper to a blast by an integral needle valve using the gun control knob. The compressed gas is filtered just prior to leaving the gun in an integrated, replaceable filter nozzle. The nozzle has been carefully designed to yield a forceful blast while providing the lowest possible noise levels.
