AC voltage range from 200 mV to 750 V: Enables broad AC voltage testing for lab, service, and production applications.
DC current range from 200 μA to 10 A and AC current range from 20 mA to 10 A: Covers low-current circuit troubleshooting and higher-current device testing.
2-wire and 4-wire resistance from 200 Ω to 100 MΩ: Offers flexible resistance measurement options, with 4-wire support helping reduce lead-resistance error in precision work.
Capacitance range from 2 nF to 10000 μF: Allows quick component verification across small and large capacitor values.
Frequency measurement from 20 Hz to 1 MHz and period measurement from 1 μs to 0.05 s: Adds signal-timing capability without requiring a separate counter for many common tasks.
Temperature measurement with TC and RTD sensor support: Expands the meter’s usefulness for thermal monitoring, validation, and troubleshooting.
Math functions including Min, Max, Average, Standard Deviation, dBm/dB, Relative, Pass/Fail, Histogram, Trend Chart, Bar Chart, and Hold: Helps users analyze, monitor, and qualify measurements directly from the instrument.
1 Gb NAND flash with support for configuration and data files: Makes it easier to store measurement records and manage instrument setup files.
USB Host, LAN, USB device/host, optional USB-GPIB adapter, and SCPI command support: Simplifies integration into remote-control and automated test environments.
4.3-inch TFT-LCD display with 480 × 272 resolution and dual-display support: Improves readability and helps users view related measurements at the same time.
Safety rating of CAT I 1000 V / CAT II 600 V: Supports safe use within the instrument’s specified measurement categories.
Scanner Card SC1016 (Only for SDM3055-SC)
Multiplexer scanner card: Can't be added later to SDM3055X, see SDM3055X-SC model.
Continuous-current limitation through the scanner card: Current channels are specified for continuous current below 2.2 A, with scanner-card current accuracy listed as ±(3% of reading + 0.02% of range).
Channel-to-channel switching time: The scanner card has a typical channel-to-channel switching time of 280 ms, supporting sequential multi-point test routines.
Switching and contact specifications: The scanner card supports a maximum switching voltage of 250 VAC or 220 VDC, maximum switching power of 62.5 VA / 30 W, contact resistance of 75 mΩ maximum, and minimum insulation resistance of 1 GΩ.
Best-fit applications: The SDM3055X-SC is better suited than the standard SDM3055X for multi-point testing, R&D burn-in, automated production testing, and test systems that need repeated measurements across multiple channels.

Siglent SDM3055X FAQ
Does the Siglent SDM3055X support automated testing and remote control?
Yes. The SDM3055X includes USB Device, USB Host, plus a LAN interface and supports remote operation through SCPI commands. These features make it practical for automated production test and remote data collection. What is the difference between the SDM3055X and SDM3055X-SC?
The SDM3055X-SC includes the SC1016 scanner card, while the standard SDM3055X does not and can't be added later. The scanner card provides multi-point measurement capability with 12 multi-purpose channels and 4 current channels, supporting functions such as voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, frequency, diode, continuity, and temperature measurements for applications that need multiple test points. These usability features help simplify measurement setup, data handling, and daily bench operation for laboratory, development, calibration, maintenance, and production test users. Can the SDM3055X do 4-wire resistance measurements, and are the probes included?
Yes, it fully supports 4-wire Kelvin resistance measurements. However, the standard package only includes a standard pair of 2-wire test leads and alligator clips. You must purchase specialized Kelvin clip test leads separately to utilize the 4-wire front panel terminals. How do you log data to a PC, and is the software free?
Yes, the software is free. Siglent provides EasyDMM software for controlling the meter and logging data directly to a PC. The unit also supports standard SCPI commands, allowing you to easily integrate it into custom Python, LabVIEW, or MATLAB automated test scripts using the built-in USB or LAN ports.
