Megger Easyloc Tx Basic Transmitter FAQ
What signal coupling methods does the Easyloc Tx transmitter support?
The transmitter supports both direct (galvanic) coupling and inductive coupling using its integrated antenna or optional transmitter clamp. Can the Easyloc Tx output either a continuous or pulsed signal, and how does that affect line locating and depth measurement?
The transmitter allows selection of continuous or pulsed signal output. The pulsed signal can help distinguish the transmitted signal from interference and conserve battery life, while continuous mode is required for depth measurements (available on the TX Plus Transmitter). Can the transmitter signal be coupled through a transmitter clamp without disconnecting a cable?
Yes. The transmitter signal can be coupled onto easily accessible cables with the aid of a transmitter clamp. In doing so, it is not necessary to disconnect the cables.
